Palm Beach Auction House, Appraisals, and Private Sales
Notable Palm Beach auctions have included items from the Lily Pulitzer estate featuring exquisite furnishings, rare collectibles, Persian rugs, and a Vose & Sons Parlor Grand Piano to name just a few.
In January 2016, Freeman's sold furniture and decorative arts from the famed “Winter White House” in Palm Beach, Florida. The historic collection was consigned by Mr. and Mrs. John Castle, who purchased the home and much of its contents from the Kennedy family in 1995.
The auction of the historic Kennedy Winter White House collection offered collectors the opportunity to acquire a pair of Venetian style walnut beds, walnut framed massage table, a Louis XV provincial style mahogany banquet table, and an Italian walnut Savonarola chair, a favorite of Mrs. Rose Kennedy’s father.
The Palm Beach auction from the private collection of Lars Bolander featured traditional Gustavian furniture, including chairs and a settee, alongside pieces by Swedish artist Dan Nygard. The estate of this renowned interior design pioneer was highly sought after by avid collectors and interior design aficionados.
