One of the most prestigious Freeman’s Chicago auctions held recently was Lincoln’s Legacy: Historic Americana from the Life of Abraham Lincoln. This landmark auction featured manuscripts, letters, campaign ephemera, keepsakes, and personal effects documenting the life of Lincoln. Many notable auctions in Chicago have taken place at Freeman’s, including the auction, Worldly Pursuits: The Estate of Steve and Peggy Fosset. The landmark collection from the adventurers and explorers included their collection of antiquities, fine art, and Asian works of art.

Additional significant sales taking place at the Freeman’s Chicago auction house include Haute Couture and Hollywood Designs Worn by Dame Olivia de Havilland, property from the Collection of Carol H. and Richard M. Levin, property from the Oprah Winfrey Collections, as well as the contents of two of Chicago’s iconic former sports arenas, Chicago Stadium and Comiskey Park.
