Lot Description
[WORLD WAR II]. Compasses, one British and three German.
Vintage Reflector compass. British Mk. III (?) Marching Compass in leather case. Rear stamped “Husbands Opticians Southampton” and “Pat. Appd. For.” Inner dial with ”Reflector.” Folding patent lever, also marked “Pat. Appd. For / G.F.R.” with leather sheath covering lever. Graduated in degrees in full circle on brass band around the black-painted steel case. Leather case also stamped “Husbands” and in excellent condition.
Stockert & Sohn MarschKompass (Marching Compass) marked on top of bakelite case. Ca 1938. Bottom with “S” and “D.R.P.” sight line in folding mirror, directional arrow in case top, 50mm rule along one side of bottom section. 60mm x 55mm (130mm long when fully open).
Marching Compass, with leather strap. Marked on top with “A” and on base “cik”. Rule along one side of base (5cm/50mm). Mirror inside lid; Bakelite base.
Bezard-Kompass on top (Marching Compass). Many of these were military issued, but not so marked. Cover of dial with “Original Bezard.” Manufactured by Georg Lifft Co. in Stuttgart. Directional arrow both inside and outside on base, sight lines along edge of base. Steel construction with black enamel.
