Lot Description
[HARRISON, Benjamin] -- [CLEVELAND, Grover]. A group of cigar boxes and early American pattern glass cups from the 1884, 1888, and 1892 presidential campaigns, comprising:
Three cigar boxes: Wood with burned design on outside, lithographs on lid. "Wedding Bells" with image of Frances Cleveland. Surrounding vignettes of a couple (presume the Clevelands) taking a stroll, and one of a carriage pulling up to the White House. 5 8 x 2-1/4 in.
Wood cigar box, Harrison & Reid (1892) jugate images inside lid. Top of lid "Our Candidates." 4-3/4 x 7-1/4 x 2 in.
Wood cigar box, on top lid "Which." Inside lid "Which? "Campaign 1888" and portraits of Cleveland and Harrison. Interior of box divided into two sections. Portraits also on one end. 4-3/4 x 9 x 2-1/2 in.
Clear glass handled cup, with portraits of Benjamin Harrison and Levi Morton (1888). 3in. high, nearly 3 in. diam.
Clear glass with Grover Cleveland's portrait on bottom. 3-1/2 in. high, 3 in. diam.
Brown glass flask with portraits "Cleve & Steve" and dated November 8th 92. 5-3/4 in. high.
Clear glass handled cup with portraits of Cleveland and Thurman (1888). 3 in. high and approx. 3 in. diam.
