Lot Description

[CALIFORNIA]. Album showing the construction of the first water viaduct to Los Angeles. [Near Fort Tejon, CA]: N.p., 24 March-7 June 1896. 


Album with 19 black-&-white images, 16 are approx. 6 x 8 in., the other 3, 4 x 6 in. Dates March 24 & June 7, 1896. Each page with cloth "hinge," spine section bolted into metal "L"-shaped piece. No front board, rear board separated. Many pages seem to be missing.

The first images may be a sawmill or other processing facility. Many of the rest show the workers and viaduct from various angles.
