the first, plain weave with plain interlacings of secondary binding warps and patterning wefts (Beiderwand), inscribed, "J.H. March/ Manufacturer/ Salona/ Centre Co./ Penna/ 1839"; the second, plain weave with plain interlacings of secondary binding warps and supplementary patterning wefts, inscribed, "Made by D. Stephenson/ Fairfield/ Jefferson Co./ Iowa/ 1868".
