Single shot muzzleloading flintlock wall piece with a dog lock, barrel secured by sheet brass straps that are tacked in place, no buttplate, a crude iron triggerguard, no side plate and an old ramrod. The three-screw dog lock is marked POOLE with initials that appear to read "I.N." prior to the last name. No "Poole" from the era of dog lock actions could be found in any available references. The gun appears to be an old composite assembly with the barrel and lock likely from different guns and somewhat crudely stocked into its current configuration.
