[FLAGS]. 13-star American flag constructed in 1883.
36 3/4 x 54 1/2 in. cotton flag comprised of 13 cotton stars mounted with adhesive to each side of a light blue canton, with 13 machine-sewn, dark red and white stripes. Small string through hoist end. One star on reverse side of canton inscribed, "Jenny Pond made this flag in 1883." No further provenance accompanies the flag.
