[CIVIL WAR]. A group of assorted photographs, many featuring Civil War soldiers.


19 CDVs, many of which feature soldiers in uniform, few identified. Includes an engraved portrait of Elmer Ellsworth by Gurney & Son, New York. -- 2 cabinet cards featuring post-Civil War soldiers in uniform, one having a GAR badge on his jacket and holding a baton across his body. -- 5 stereoviews featuring subjects including African Americans picking cotton, the crew aboard the Wisconsin posed around the forward guns, Charles Lindbergh, and others. -- A small albumen portrait of a Civil War officer with sideburns, housed under mat and preserver, then housed under mat, glass, and preserver in a fully separated pressed paper case. -- CDV-sized lithograph of the eagle "Old Abe" perched atop a Union shield.
