Lot Description

[FLAGS]. 14-star American parade flag. Ca 1876-1890.


5 x 8 1/2 in. flag printed on cotton, with 14 stars arranged in a medallion configuration consisting of a wreath of nine stars, surrounding a single, central star, flanked by star in each corner. The 14-star flag commemorates the statehood of Vermont, which was admitted to the Union in 1792.
