GARDNER, Alexander (1821-1882), photographer. Albumen photograph of Lone Wolf, Tchan-Gm-Ani-To-I-Sh-Na-Lah. Washington, DC.
5 1/4 x 4 in. albumen photograph, tipped on ornately scrolled Blackmore Museum mount, 12 x 10 in., ca 1870. Handsome portrait of Lone Wolf wearing a large silver cross, two hair feathers, and dentalium earrings. Lower margin of mount with credit to A. Gardner, Washington, DC, and imprint, "Photographed by Trustees of Blackmore Museum, Salisbury, England."
