[LINCOLN, Abraham (1809-1865)]. Rare ambrotype brooch of Abraham Lincoln made by George Clark, Jr. for the 1860 campaign.
Ambrotype portrait of Abraham Lincoln featuring Mathew Brady's famous "Cooper Union" pose, approx. 2 x 1 1/2 in. (sight), set in an oval pin-backed brooch, approx. 2 1/2 x 2 1/8 in. overall. Reverse with original printed label made of coated stock, inscribed "For President, Hon. Abraham Lincoln. Manufactured by Geo. Clark, Jr., & Co., Ambrotype Artists, No. 59 Court Street, Boston."
A rare and highly desirable ambrotype made for Lincoln's 1860 presidential campaign.
