[Children's & Illustrations]. [Disney, Walt] Production Animation Cel from Walt Disney's "Dumbo"
Circa 1941. Celluloid with hand-painted background mat. 7 x 8 in. (178 x 293 mm) (sight). Paper label on reverse, reading: "This is an original painting on celluloid, actually used in the Walt Disney Production of Dumbo, the Circus Elephant...Of this series only 49 available..." Provenance: Arthur Ackermann & Son, Inc. (label on reverse, reading, "Dumbo Following Tim," and signed by Bill Justice). In mat and in frame, 14 x 14 in. (356 x 356 mm).
Bill Justice (1914-2011) was a longtime animator and engineer at Walt Disney Company, and worked as sequence director on the 1941 Dumbo film.
