Lot comprised of 7 sixth plate daguerreotypes of women, most housed in full or half cases, with one example lacking a case.

A quilt covers the back of the chair (tarnish to edges). Housed in leatherette case (surface wear). -- Hand-tinted, seated portrait of a woman looking directly at the photographer, holding a book in her hand (contrast a bit weak, light tarnish to edges). Housed in green leatherette case (some surface wear). Modern label accompanying image indicates that it was acquired in Allentown, PA. -- 4 portraits of young women holding or seated next to a table with books. -- Together, 7 sixth plate daguerreotypes. Conditions vary.
