10 1/2 x 13 in. album, gilt title on cover, "Picturesque Scenery and Industrial Views on the Missouri Pacific Railway and Iron Mountain Route." Identified on cover to the "Battery Park Hotel, Asheville, NC, Compliments of H.C. Townsend, Gen'l. Pass'r and Ticket Agent, St. Louis." Contains approx. 36 photographs, approx. 7 1/4 x 9 1/4 in., mounted recto/verso on album pages. Each with title written in the negative. Views of various locations throughout Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas are enclosed, including Sedalia, Sweet Springs, Kansas City, Joplin, Pertle Spring, McAllister Springs, Pleasant Hill, Arcadia, Carthage, and Jefferson City, Missouri, as well as Cawker and Leavenworth, Kansas, Omaha, Nebraska, and Hot Springs, Fort Smith, and Ozark Mountains, Arkansas.
