Housed in Union case, Voyage of Life, Old Age [Berg 1-80] (previously repaired cracks throughout, chipping and loss to edges and corners). -- Sixth plate ruby ambrotype of two young men, each wearing a different type of hat (light wear to emulsion, some discoloration to plate). Housed in pressed paper case with penciled notation behind image, which reads, "Taken at Stearne's Photograph Saloon. Vergennes, Vermont, " with the subjects identified as "Carta (?) Dean / Harrison Warner," with date "April 8th, 1862." (Fully separated at hinge, some surface wear). -- Sixth plate ruby ambrotype of two men, one wearing a tall hat with no brim, the other in a brimmed hat (spotting to plate, some wear to emulsion).
