An Assorted Group of Commemorative Household Items
19th Century

comprising a Staffordshire soft-paste porcelain oval sugar bowl and cover made for the American market, probably New Hall Porcelain Factory (English, founded 1781), circa 1810, transfer-decorated with emblazoned eagle, with hand-painted numerals, "260," and red-painted accession number, "74.22" to underside; a Staffordshire yellow and transfer-decorated child's mug depicting Marquis De Lafayette and George Washington with eagle above, circa 1825, bearing accession number, "1992.0039.43"; a Battersea style enameled metal snuff box depicting John Paul Jones, with red-painted accession number, "71.145", 19th century; and two aqua molded and blown glass bottles, circa 1820-1840, the first by Kensington Glass Works, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, depicting "General La Fayette" to one side and an emblazoned eagle above "T.W.D." to the other side, the second depicting George Washington's profile to one side and a sheath of wheat to the other side, bearing accession number, "1992.0039."

Height 7 1/2 x width 4 3/4 x depth 1 3/4 inches (tallest bottle).
