John Sayre (1771-1852), Southampton Or New York, New York, And Christopher Giffing (1789-1866), New York, New York, Circa 1795-1815

the first, a ladle by John Sayre, circa 1795, with pointed end and bright-cut decoration including navette-form cartouche bearing monogram, "M*B," marked; the second, a ladle by Christopher Giffing, circa 1815, with fiddle end, and engraved with monogram, "AW," marked; both bearing accession numbers, "86.16" and "91.31", respectively.
