Engraved map, 597 x 940 mm. (Old folds, several small paper repairs to creases and closed tears verso, margins trimmed close to neatline.)
Depicts California as an island, a substantially incomplete Australia, part of New Zealand’s west coast, and a fascinating rendering of the northeast coast of Asia, including “The Land of Iesso.” The northwest coast of America is notably absent.
