US Model 1840 NCO Sword by Horstmann, and Hand Made Dagger
1.) Horstmann Model 1840 NCO Sword. 31.75" straight spear point single edged blade with single fuller mounting cast brass clamshell guard and knuckle bow. Sword struck Horstmann on reverse ricasso with illegible markings after and keystone on ricasso.
2.) Hand made dagger. 5.75" double edged blade with .75" ricasso mounting cross guard with 6.5" handle. 12.5" overall length. Handle is made of wood with horn spacers and fitted with a steel pommel.
