Two Excavated Civil War Artillery Shells: 3.8" Hotchkiss Bolt for the 14 Pound James Gun and 3" Confederate Broun Shell
American Civil War
1) Dug 3.8" Hotchkiss Bolt for the 14 Pound James Gun. Nominally 7" tall by 3.7" in diameter. Weak patent markings in base. Retains much of the lead sabot.
2) Dug 3" Confederate Broun Shell. Nominally 7.25" in length and 2.93" in diameter. No sabot present. Disarmed and empty.
Included with this lot are two shell display stands.
