Two Excavated Canister Rounds For 6-pound & 12-pound Howitzers
American Civil War
1) Dug 6 Pound Confederate Canister. Nominally 4.5" tall by 3.5" in diameter. Top plate replaced. Hand written note attributes the canister to Shiloh.
2) Dug 12 Pound Federal Canister. Nominally 5.75" tall by 4.5". Glue separating on the top portion of the canister with some balls and the top plate loose.
