Three Excavated Civil War Artillery Shells: Dyer, CS Broun and Parrott
American Civil War
1) Dug 3" Dyer Case Shot. Nominally 7" tall and 2.9" in diameter. Disarmed and empty. Lead sabot mostly intact. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Army of Tennessee Relics noting the shell was excavated at City Point, VA.
2) Dug Confederate 3" Broun Shell. Nominally 7.4" tall and 2.94" in diameter. Disarmed and empty. Copper sabot mostly intact.
3) Dug Federal 10 Pound Parrott Shell. Nominally 8.25" tall and 2.9" in diameter. Disarmed and empty.
