Civil War Era Accoutrement Group: 6 Cap Pouches and 5 Carbine Sockets
American Civil War
Cap pouches include:
1) USN outer flap embossed cap pouch by Metzger with Ordnance inspection stamp. No wool or pick present. About Good with moderate wear and flaked loss.
2) USN outer flap embossed cap pouch by H.G. Haedrich with no inspection marks. No wool is present, vent pick in place. About Fair to Good overall with scuffing, discoloration, crazing and wear.
3) L.S. Baker maker marked cap pouch. No wool present, pick in place. About Fair with moderate wear, crazing and finish loss.
4) Metzger contract cap pouch with Ordnance inspection stamp. Wool and pick in place. About Very Good overall with some light wear and crazing.
5) Unknown maker cap pouch with clear Ordnance inspection on outer flap. Wool and pick in place. Maker mark on inner flap illegible due to flaking and finish loss. About Good overall with moderate wear and flaked finish loss.
6) R Nece maker marked cap pouch with Ordnance inspection. Wool and pick in plate. About Good to Very Good overall with some fading and scuffed wear.
7)-11) Five total carbine sockets, two unmarked, two G PETERS maker marked and one with inspection initials CHC. All are about Fair to Good with moderate to heavy wear and flaked finish loss.
