Lot Description
Two US Pattern July of 1864 Type II Cartridge Boxes and Two Cap Pouches
American Civil War
1) H.G. Haedrich of Philadelphia produced Pattern of July 1864 Type II .58 caliber Cartridge Box measuring nominally 7."x5.75"x1.75", not including the outer flap. Embossed US in an oval on the outer flap, contractor mark on the inner flap. Both tin magazines are intact, one is upside down, as are the box belt buckles.
2) SH Young of Newark contract Pattern of July 1864 Type II .58 caliber Cartridge Box measuring nominally 7.125"x5.75"x1.75", not including the outer flap. Embossed US in an oval on the outer flap, Young maker's mark on rear of box. Both tin magazines are intact as are the box belt buckles.
3) Cap Pouch by R. Nece and so marked on the inner flap. Retains the wool and what appears to be an original cone pick on its interior.
4) Cap Pouch by SH Young of Newark and so marked on the inner flap. Retains the wool and what appears to be an original cone pick on its interior.
