American Civil War

.31 caliber. 4" round barrel. SN: 181. Blued finish, color casehardened hammer and loading lever, smooth two-piece walnut grips. Single action percussion pocket revolver with lightly engraved frame, ball detent retained toggle link loading lever, five-chambered fluted cylinder, hammer nose notch rear sight and brass cone front sight. Barrel with one-line BACON MF'G CO NORWICH, CONN address. Matching numbers throughout. It is estimated that about 3,000 of these competitors with the Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver were produced during the early-to-mid-1860s. {ANTIQUE}
