Lot Description

U.S. Model 1902 Presentation Saber of R. W. Crawford

30.5" blade. 38.5" overall with scabbard. Bright finished single edge blade with spear tip and 21" off center fullers to both sides. Blade features etched scroll and patriotic motifs, including R.W. Crawford in gothic text to left side, and spread eagle to obverse side. Hilt has a four branch knuckle bow with swept quillon. Grip is horn with finger grooves. There is a braided leather tassel wrapped around knuckle bow. Scabbard has drag and double hangers.
