Lot Description

German Weyersberg Hirschfanger and Moroccan Koummya Jambiya

1.) 16.5" blade length. 22.5" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight single edged fullered spearpoint blade with staghorn handle featuring hoof shaped quillons with oak leaves, three acorns to the handle, and an acorn shaped nut retaining the pommel. Guard features a stag and does below a {Crown/G} seal. Blade is etched with hunting scenes and panoplies of arms, in addition to EDUARD KUHNE, ERFURT. Ricasso is struck with maker marking W.K & C below {King and Knight Heads}. Comes with a matching stag horn handled utility knife with matching etching on the blade. Sheath features a German Silver throat and drag and leather body.

2.) 8.5" blade. 15.5" overall with scabbard and hilt. Curved double edged spearpoint blade with nonferrous metal hilt and scabbard displaying embossed geometric designs. The hilt and scabbard both mount recurring patterns of semi0precious stones, and the hilt features a blue cord through the hanging loops. No visible maker markings, and the blade is unsharpened. Likely a Moroccan Koummya Jambiya produced for the tourist trade.
