Remington New Model Navy Revolver
American Civil War
.36" Caliber. 7.375" octagonal barrel. SN: 35973. Blued finish, color casehardened hammer, silver plated brass triggerguard, two piece varnished smooth walnut grips. Single action solid frame percussion revolver with an un-fluted six-chambered cylinder, topstrap groove rear sight, iron blade front sight and pivoting loading lever. The top of the barrel roll marked in three lines: PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858/E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK U.S.A./NEW MODEL. Matching numbers on left of frame under grip, under barrel and in pencil in both grips. {ANTIQUE}
