Model 1898 Spanish American War Cavalryman and Artillery Tunics
Spanish American War
1.) 23" sleeve, 16" chest, 25.5" long. Canvas button down tunic with yellow trimmed collar, cuffs, pockets, and shoulders and mounting detachable SEELE & JOHNSON brass buttons with {Spread Winged Eagle} seal of the US Army. Collar is cotton lined, and the tunic is without insignia.
2.) 22" sleeve, 16" chest, 27.5" long. Canvas button down tunic with red trimmed collar, cuffs pockets, and shoulders mounting stitched GOODWINS patent buttons with US Army {Spread Wing Eagle} seal. Item features a cotton lined collar with metal hooks, and the initials SA marked in pen on the interior seam, most likely applied in more recent years.
