Lot Description

Group of 14th Infantry Division Jacket, 332nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division Olive Branch Jacket
World War I

US 1917 wool tunic identified to John Emery Merritt, who served in Company I of the 332nd Infantry Regiment. The tunic mounts a National Army and 332nd Infantry collar disk in addition to the unit patch for the 332nd Infantry Division above a Third Army patch. A tag passed through the pocket identifies it to Emery, photocopies of his enlistment record and discharge papers are included in the pocket. A faint marking legible on the inner lining of the right breast shows a different name of H.R. SKINNER. Also included in the lot are tunics with patches identifying them to the 1st and 14th Infantry Divisions respectively.
