Lot includes one wool 1917 tunic mounting a 3rd Battalion 5th Marines shoulder patch and {Eagle, Globe, and Anchor} collar buttons. As the Marines' distinctive uniforms wore out, they were replaced with US Army pattern 1917 tunics. In order to distinguish themselves from the Army, the Marines adopted collar buttons bearing their iconic logo. All remaining buttons feature the {Eagle/Anchor} logo. Also included are an enlisted tunic for the 77th Infantry Division, famed for the "Lost Battalion", and one 3rd Infantry Division marked example with a 3rd Army Patch. Lot includes three pairs of trousers total.
