US Pattern 1858 Mounted Services Jacket made from indigo dyed blue wool broadcloth with no lining remaining and slightly faded red branch of service herringbone pattern tape trim. Jacket features five-piece construction with a 2.25" standing collar with four buttons, a twelve button front that is missing one button, belt support pillows on the rear and functional two-button cuffs with one button missing from each cuff. The hook and eye closure at the neck is missing. Buttons are cuff sized general service eagles.
