Short recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by an internal box magazine charged with stripper clips. Item features the early style cone hammer and firing pin retaining plate seen on antique Mauser pistols with a rear sight graduated from 50 to 500 meters. Upper barrel flat shows maker mark reading WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N, with further marks including the {Double Crown/U} to left barrel, and on lower bolt. Serial numbers match throughout, including on grip panels and firing pin. Pistol retains the lanyard loop to butt, and the stock mounting cut. Comes with an incomplete non matching buttstock/holster. Stock mounting bracket is numbered 10897. Stock is missing the screw for the mounting bracket, and half of the buttplate. {ANTIQUE}
