*John Oberlies Custom Sharps Model 1874 Rifle in .22LR
.22LR. 30" heavy octagon barrel. SN: 56152. Blued finish, jeweled lever and breechblock, checkered brass buttplate, checkered straight-grip walnut stock and checkered Schnabel forend. Single shot falling block custom .22 rifle built on an 1874 Sharps action by John Oberlies. Equipped with an Oberlies marked adjustable tang sight, a large dovetailed front sight blade, Oberlies marked buttplate, and Oberlies marked escutcheon in toe of stock that is dated 1947. Bottom of barrel with the mismatched serial number "3205" and marked "40/70", its original caliber before it became a .22. A really lovely custom .22 by a famous and talented gunmaker. {MODERN}
