*Restored E. Schmidt & Habermann Custom 98 Mauser Rifle with D.S.T. Claw Mount and Case Colored Receiver

7.92x57mm. 21" barrel length. SN: 3533. Blued barrel and buttplate, polished triggers, straw colored extractor, and the remaining parts case colored set in walnut round knob semi pistol grip stock with cheek pad to left comb and Schnabel forend retained by wedge pin. Bolt action internal magazine fed rifle featuring double set triggers and a two piece German claw mount to receiver with matching finish. Octagonal to round barrel is signed E. SCHMIDT & HABERMANN to the upper right flat, and SUHL I/TH. to the upper left. Left receiver is struck 2,67 g.G.B.P./St.m.G. The safety flag has been cut down in order to clear the tube of the installed CERTA/2 3/4/C.P. GOERZ/BERLIN/No. 47. Barrel features a full length matted rib mounting two position folding rear notch and ramped front blade sights. Wrist exhibits bordered multipoint checkering. Receiver is matted on the upper surface with border engraving enclosing spiral scroll embellishments on the magazine floorplate, triggerguard, and receiver flanks. Item features case colored sling loops. Forend has been shimmed forward of the wedge pin escutcheons, suggesting the port was relocated. Wrist is reinforced with wood dowel insert below bolt knob on both sides. {MODERN}
