Single action transitional Beals to Elliot patent percussion revolver with Beals style "concealed barrel threads" frame, six-chambered un-fluted cylinder with safety notches, frame groove rear sight and dovetailed brass cone replacement front sight. Barrel with two-line Remington address and 1861 dated Elliot's patent marking. Grooved Elliot's patent loading lever without the filister screw modification. Matching serial numbers under barrel and on lower left of grip frame under grip, cylinder is unnumbered. Interior of grips with illegible pencil numbers.
