**Springfield Armory 1914 Production Model 1911 Pistol with 1916 Pattern Holster
World War I

.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: 105105. Blued metal finish mounting diamond checkered walnut grips and military pattern rear notch and front blade sights. Short-recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines manufactured by Springfield Armory during World War I. Left slide struck with the two-line SPRINGFIELD ARMORY/U.S.A. manufacturer mark forward of the cocking serrations and the {Ordnance Bomb} logo behind. Three line address and patent information to left slide reads PATENTED APR. 20. 1897/SEPT. 9. 1902. DEC. 19. 1905. FEB. 14. 1911/COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. Right slide displays the US Army {Spread Winged Eagle} followed by MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY. Left dustcover is marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY and the frame shows an additional {Ordnance Bomb} mark. Item shows the Springfield Armory S stamp to various subcomponents including the barrel, hammer, extractor, and slide stop. No S logo to bushing suggests it may have been replaced. Magazine shows a two-tone finish and lanyard loop to the floorplate. Comes with a Vietnam era pattern 1916 leather holster showing maker marking BOLEN LEA. PROD./7791466. {C&R}
