Lot Description

Solid Shot Excavated at the Brennan Foundry in Nashville during the 1980s
American Civil War

Five excavated solid shot, two nominally 3" in diameter, two nominally 1.45" in diameter and one nominally 2.3" in diameter. With an attached tag that notes these were excavated at the site of the Brennan Cannon Foundry in Nashville in the 1980s by the late Hume Parks. The Brennan site was located near the Cumberland River in an area that is now part of the Riverfront Park entertainment district. A very old and rough Tennessee Gun Collector's card dated 1986 is also included with some mostly illegible writing on it that likely provides the same overall information. A neat piece of Nashville and Confederate artillery history.
