Maroon crushed levant, covers with abstract linear pattern in gilt, silver, and black, spine and tan calf doublures similarly decorated, maroon watered silk endleaves, marbled flyleaves, signed by Lotard 1929. LIMITED EDITION, number 71 of 109 numbered copies with an extra suite of the etchings hors-de-texte on india paper mounted, of a total edition of 130. -- BRILLAT-SAVARIN, Jean Anthelme. La physiologie du gout. Paris, [1926]. Two etched plates each present in two states. Crimson crushed levant, covers with abstract rectilinear pattern of gilt, silver, and blind with black calf onlays, spine and black calf doublures similarly decorated, black watered silk endleaves, marbled flyleaves, signed by Lotard 1928. LIMITED EDITION, number 9 of 10 numbered copies on Japon imperial, of a total edition of 400. -- Together 2 works, 4to, original slipcases, condition generally good with only minor scuffs or sunning.
