A Chinese Embroidered Silk Dragon Robe worked in multi-colored threads showing nine sinuous dragons chasing the flaming pearls amongst clouds, flying bats and ribbon-tied Buddhist emblems, all reserved on a blue ground above mountain peaks and crashing waves, the hem embroidered with lishui stripes, the collar and borders decorated with further dragon design against a black ground. Height collar to hem 53 1/2 inches.
