A Chinese Embroidered Silk Dragon Robe, Jifu 19TH CENTURY finely embroidered with gold wrapped and polychrome threads to the front and back depicting a central writhing dragon in pursuit of a flaming pearl of wisdom above a flower-filled basket and a pair of crouching dragons with flaming pearl, surrounded by auspicious clouds and flying cranes, all reserved on a brown ground, above ribbon-tied eight Daoist emblems and mountains rising from lishui, similar pattern repeated to the shoulder, the borders and the cuffs embroidered with dragons, flaming pearls and clouds on a black ground.
