[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. An assortment of hard images of couples and trios.
An assortment of hard images of couples and trios, incl. a pair of daguerreotypes matted together in the same case. A pair of ninth plate daguerreotype portraits featuring a man and a woman, matted together in a double oval mat and housed in a separated pressed paper case (case split at spine, with general wear throughout). (Images with tarnishing, spotting, and scratching.) -- Sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a woman and a young girl. The woman wears a plaid dress and lace gloves, the child wears a polka dotted dress. (Minor tarnishing, some wiping to left side, other minor imperfections; unsealed.) Housed in a separated push-button case with two other images, one a daguerreotype of a woman and one a ruby ambrotype of a man (case with multiple parts fully separated, losses, wear throughout). (Images with some tarnishing, spotting, general wear.) -- A landscape-oriented ninth plate daguerreotype of a couple including a woman with a voluminous hairstyle and a man with mustache, sideburns, and goatee. (Tarnishing, spotting, small scratches and one dent, mat with oxidation; unsealed.) Housed under mat, glass, and preserver only; no case. -- And 11 other images ranging from a quarter plate daguerreotype to a gem sized tintype. Conditions and housings vary. -- Together, 17 individual images, some housed together.
