[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 19 assorted images featuring children & babies, mostly ambrotypes & tintypes.

Half plate ambrotype portrait of a young family, including mother, father, and two children. (Some crackling to emulsion, otherwise a rather crisp image with good contrast, some spotting to mat.) Housed in a Union case (velvet pad missing, some discoloration and chipping). -- A group of 4 ninth plate ambrotypes of individual children, including a young girl holding a book in her lap. House together in a quadruple ninth plate Union case with figural design (some nicking, chipping, and soiling). -- Ninth plate ambrotype portrait of a young girl wearing an off-the-shoulder dress ad holding a cased image close to her chest with one hand. (Minor imperfections; original seals.) Housed in an octagonal Union case (significant damage and loss to front cover and hinges). -- A ninth plate tintype of a baby wearing a blue-tinted dress and a bonnet with large ribbons. (Image a bit dark; unsealed.) Housed in a fully separated velvet case (front cover fully separated, surface wear). -- And 12 others.
