[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 19 daguerreotypes of siblings and other family pairs.
Crisp sixth plate portrait of two young women wearing identical light-colored dressed with brooches and rings that have been embellished to sparkle on the plate. (Tarnishing to edges, minor imperfections, oxidation to mat; reglazed and resealed 2021.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (significant damage, wear, and loss). -- Relatively close-up sixth plate portrait of two sisters, the older one seated in a chair and the younger one standing next to her, wearing an off-the-shoulder dress. (Significant tarnishing to edges, occasional spots, spotting to mat; reglazed and resealed2018.) Housed in a fully separated leatherette case (split at spine, surface wear throughout) with velvet pad marked for "EVANS 380 MARKET ST. PHILADA." -- Sixth plate portrait of a brother and sister, the brother having his arm around his sister. (Tarnishing/discoloration to edges, some spotting; original seals.) Housed in a pressed paper case with scrap of paper identifying the subjects as "Charles Albert Andrus and Josephine Andrus, children of Albert Andrus Brother of Grandma Willson." -- And 16 others, including one quarter plate portrait and 15 sixth plate portraits. Conditions and housings vary. -- Together, 19 daguerreotype portraits of siblings and other family pairings.
