[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 17 ninth plate daguerreotypes of female subjects and 3 ninth plate ambrotypes.

Portrait of two young women, one sporting a fur cuff and lace collar. (Some tarnishing to right portion affecting subject's face.) Housed in a half pressed paper case. -- Seated portrait of a young lady with tightly curled hair worn up on either side of her head, leaning on her elbow, supported by a table covered in hand-tinted blue cloth. She wears an ornate crucifix pendant and a large cameo brooch. (Spotting, wipe marks; resealed.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case. -- Strikingly clear bust portrait of a young woman wearing a dress with a silky sheen. (Bit of tarnishing to edges, minimal spotting.) Housed in a pressed paper case. -- And 16 other ninth plate daguerreotypes featuring female subjects. Image conditions mostly fair to good.

[With:] 3 ninth plate ambrotypes including a bust portrait of a man with facial hair by W. T. BOWERS, Lynn, MA. (Darkening to image, some details of torso difficult to see; unsealed.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case with embossed paper advertising card for BOWERS.
