[CIVIL WAR]. 13 autographs of leaders of the Army of Potomac, incl. MEADE, SEDGWICK, and BIRNEY.

Lot comprised of 13 autographs of leaders of the Army of the Potomac, including the Second, Fifth, and Sixth Army Corps, matted and housed in four frames. Each signature is displayed with a copy of the signer's photograph and image of the Corps or Division flag (as appropriate). The displays also include post-war, GAR Corps badges.

Autographs include:

MEADE, George Gordon (1815-1872), Union major general and commander of the Army of the Potomac. Clipped signature ("Geo. G. Meade, Maj. Genl. Comd. A.P."), approx. 1 1/2 x 4 5/8 in. (sight), matted and framed together with a modern portrait of Meade and an image of the Army of Potomac headquarters flag. Overall, framed display measures 20 1/4 x 14 in.

Frame containing clipped signatures of the leaders of the Second Army Corps, May 1864, each approx. 1 1/4 x 4 1/2 in. or smaller. Signatures include: BIRNEY, David B. (1825-1864). Clipped signature ("D.B. Birney"). -- BARLOW, Francis C. (1834-1896). Clipped signature ("Francis C. Barlow") as Brevet Major General of Volunteers. -- HANCOCK, Winfield Scott (1824-1886). Clipped signature ("Winfield S. Hancock") as Major General. -- GIBBON, John (1827-1896). Clipped signature ("John Gibbon") as Major General of Volunteers.
