[CIVIL WAR]. 5 tintypes of soldiers, most outfitted in sack coats or overcoats.

Sixth plate possibly pre-war portrait of a soldier seated at a table covered with hand tinted tablecloth. He wears a dark blue great coat and a forage cap. (Areas of surface loss and abrading, overall darkening, spotting; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case. -- Sixth plate portrait of a scruffy, bearded soldier wearing a standard 4-button sack coat. (Some surface abrasions, rather clear; unsealed.) Housed in a a pressed paper case. -- Sixth plate seated portrait of a somewhat disheveled soldier with a thick mustache, wearing a forage cap and sack coat. (Image rather dark, with significant scratching and abrading, some affecting subject's face; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case. Accompanied by a calling card for Annie L. Heed and newspaper clippings featuring verses about love and marriage. -- Ninth plate portrait of an infantryman wearing an overcoat. (Some haloing, image a bit dark/faded; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case. -- And a ninth plate portrait of a Union soldier housed under patriotic mat and in pressed paper case with patriotic motif. -- Together, 5 cased images.
