[CIVIL WAR]. 3 cased images of soldiers proudly displaying their Enfield rifle muskets.
Ninth plate ruby ambrotype of a young soldier wearing a sack coat over an issue shirt, an oval "US" belt plate, and a forage cap with the brim turned upward. Most notably, he holds an Enfield rifle musket with the hammer cocked and his finger on the trigger. (Minor surface imperfections, overall a crisp image; unsealed.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (surface wear/loss). -- Sixth plate tintype seated portrait of a fully dressed enlistee, including frock coat, enlisted trousers, forage cap, gloves, and belt with cap pouch and oval "US" belt plate. He holds his Enfield rifle musket proudly, in both hands, while slightly smiling at the camera. (Very minor surface imperfections, otherwise a clear image; unsealed.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (surface wear/loss). -- Sixth plate standing portrait of a soldier in a standard frock coat with breast plate and belt plate visible, holding his Enfield rifle musket with bayonet upward at his side. (Image quite dark, few visible surface imperfections; unsealed.) Housed in a leatherette case (surface wear) with penciled inscription behind image reading, "Geo. Jenkyns Oct 19, 1863."
