Group of approximately 20 documents, spanning ca 1700s - early 1800s (bulk second half 18th-century), including one or multiple of the following: receipts, land indentures, cash/accounting lists, last will & testaments, and more. Many documents associated with the area in and around Marshfield, Duxbury, Hingham, and Plymouth, Massachusetts, and with the dealings of families such as the Ameses, Winslows, Kents, Bradfords, Carvers, and Thomases.
[With:] Appointment for Jonathan Brackenridge as Sergeant Major of the First Regiment of the Fourth Brigade of the Militia in the State of Vermont. Signed by Samuel Hitchcock, Esq., as colonel of the regiment. Burlington, Vermont. 1 March 1792. 1p, approx. 12 x 8 in.
